Bob Sanders Back at Practice Monday with the Indianapolis Colts

Safety Bob Sanders was back at practice Monday with the Indianapolis Colts.  He has an injured elbow on Sunday when he left Houston after being defeated by the Texans at the season opener.

There is no projected timetable of Sanders, the defensive player of the year back in 2007, return to the field as the team is waiting for MRI results to come back.  A prognosis will be made once the results are received and then a timetable of when Sanders may return for play will be determined.

The past two NFL seasons, Sanders has been limited to only eight games due to sustained injuries.  He participated in two games last season and six the season before that.  He had hoped that this NFL season would be different than the past two seasons and that he would be able to play all 16 regular season games, which is something that he has never done in his seven-year NFL career.

There is still time, though – he may be able to do so.  The Colts don’t play again Sunday, September 19, against the New York Giants.  We’ll just have to wait for the MRI results.
