Jim Furyk Disqualified From the Barclay’s Event Due to Missing Pro-Am
What happens when your alarm doesn’t go off when it should? You wake up late and you are late to school or work; however, if you are Jim Furyk, an unsounding alarm means that you are disqualified from the Barclay’s tournament at the Ridgewood Country Club.
Since Furyk overslept this morning and missed the Pro-Am, he was disqualified from this event, which was the very first tournament event of the 2010 FedEx playoffs. Thankfully for Furyk, though, he is ranked third in the 2010 FedEx Cup Standings and can rest comfortably knowing that he’ll be able to proceed to the next tournament – assuming his alarm goes off in time! At least he does get good news out of this situation although he has ruined any chance of possibly seeing improvement.
I’m guessing that Furyk forgot to plug in his cell phone to charge since he supposedly uses his cell phone as his morning AM alarm – however, my advice to you Furyk – don’t forget to plug in your phone because if you forget again, it might just cost you more than what you want.
