Mark Ingram Set to Play Saturday Against Duke

Mark Ingram, former Heisman Trophy winner, had knee surgery just two weeks ago and is already back at practice this week with the Alabama Crimson Tide.  What’s more is that Coach Nick Saban has made the announcement that Ingram is ready to play again.  He is nearly completely recovered from his surgery and ready to get back on the field again.

Ingram’s first game back will be this Saturday against Duke although what his role in the game will be has not been determined, or at least not announced as of yet.

In his absence, Trent Robertson fulfilled Ingram’s position on the field with the Crimson Tide went up against Penn State as well as San Jose State. While Robertson has held the fort quite well, the team as well as Robertson is happy that Ingram is scheduled to come back to the team.

According to various sources, team members say that you can’t even tell Ingram had knee surgery – he is playing just as well as he ever has.  He has been running fast in practice this week and performing well.

Going into Saturday’s game, his position as well as how much he’ll play is uncertain at this time but he does have a spot against Duke – his first game of the season.
