Safety for the Chargers Arrested for Possession of 100 Vicodin Pills
Kevin Ellison, safety for the San Diego Chargers, has been taken into custody in California for the possible possession of controlled substances, particularly Vicodin.
23-year-old Ellison was initially arrested sometime Monday afternoon in Redondo Beach after being pulled over by police for speeding near his old high school and an exploration of his car revealed 100 Vicodin pills. Ellison apparently did not have a prescription for the Vicodin. He was then booked and was later released on a bail of $10,000.
Ellison was drafted from USC in 2009 as a sixth round pick to San Diego. He was a rookie last season with the Chargers and started a total of nine games. Keith, his elder brother, is a team member for the Buffalo Bills and serves as a linebacker for the team.
This isn’t the first instance of this controlled substance causing problems with people related to the football industry, as it wasn’t even a month ago that two coaches for the Saints were facing severe allegations of abuse and/or misuse of the drug Vicodin.
