Brett Favre Signs with the Vikings

Favre is very excited to be playing with the Vikings and his wife supports him with this. He is glad to be back in the game and he is also getting some of the other players really pumped up.

This is a big issue in the betting and sports world as people are waiting to see what all will happen with Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings this year. There have been some doubts that he will do good and other people think that he won’t do so well and that he will only bring embarrassment to the Vikings. However, the Vikings feel that they have made the right decision with hiring Favre and that he will help them win.

When Favre was playing, his odds dropped all the way down to 14-1, when they where 24-1 the day before the signing. That is a huge drop and it seems to be making many people nervous, especially his competition.

A big question that is weighing on the minds of many people is this; will Favre making the Vikings a better team? That is what they are hoping, at least what the Vikings are hoping for anyway. Last year, they seemed so very close to winning but didn’t exactly make it.  They are hoping that with Favre in, he will help the team win this year.

Did you know that it took him around three weeks to decide whether to sign or not with the Vikings?  It wasn’t because of the team, but because he suffered so much pain with his injuries he made while playing the last time that he was very hesitant on signing up with the Vikings.  However, he thinks that he will now benefit the Vikings and that the surgery he has had in the past helped heal the pain he was undergoing.

Now, just like many other players, Favre has had ups and downs before in his past and many people are still questioning his ability to perform with the Vikings. They don’t have much faith in him as a player and they don’t think he will help the team win much because of his bad past plays.

Because of his past plays, Favre has received the nickname, Gunslinger. They claim that Adrian should not settle for a Gunslinger but should have picked someone else that is more reliable. Others state that the ones who go against Favre could possibly be having a jealousy problem or that they are nervous at the thought of the Vikings winning.

Apart from many people thinking that the Vikings made a mistake in choosing Favre, Favre is under pressure of his own.  If he doesn’t act accordingly or if he causes damage to the Vikings, he could possibly hurt his future career. The Vikings are really depending on Favre and putting him under a lot of stress. Favre is very popular and with his popularity, a lot of people will be holding him into high regards and respect this year. He has high rankings when he plays and the Vikings will be paying him 12 million dollars this year and after this year, he will be getting paid 14 million dollars. No matter how he plays though Favre will be getting six million dollars for it.

As for the odds, with Favre now with the Vikings, people might be betting with Minnesota now really aggressively. Once that happens, the odds will more than likely be lowered a lot.

But, what will happen next with Favre? We will have to wait and see as he will definitely be keeping everyone on their toes the next several games.
