Celtics Lose Two Players for the Playoffs

Kevin Garnett is a major star with the Celtics but he won’t be playing in the playoffs this year. Because of his basketball prowess, a lot of people are disappointed that he won’t be in the playoffs. The reason why he won’t be playing in the playoffs is because he suffered a major blow with a sprain on his right knee. The sprain was so bad that Kevin Garnett is really having a rough time recovering, and he’s in a lot of pain. If he comes back and starts playing right now, the chances are he might cause damage to the team and not help it. That is another reason why the Celtics are telling him not to play during the playoffs. He must first recover and rest up, instead of playing. It will be very hard for Kevin Garnett to be sitting there while his team plays in the playoffs, but if he even takes a chance and risks it, he might cause more injury to his knee, and no one wants that.  However, many fans are saying that the Celtics won’t be the same without Kevin Garnett playing, and it could influence how they bet this year.

Not only do the Celtics have to worry about Kevin Garnett being out of the game, they now must worry because Leon Powe is out and won’t be able to play any more during the season. He hurt his left knee with a torn ACL and that’s not all. He has meniscus that is located on the left knee. The doctors have spoken, and there is just no way that he can play during the playoffs. Leon Powe must have surgery, after which they will be able to determine when or if he is ready to play again. This is not his first time of having knee problems. In the year 2002, he had major surgery on his knee. Leon Powe’s knee problems might just cost him his career but fans are waiting to see how he recovers from the surgery. Powe really plays tough and he is competitive. This will hurt the team a lot.

Mikki More will be playing and making up for Powe’s not playing in the playoffs. A lot of fans are not happy about the thought of Mikki taking his place but Mikki is a good choice regardless, and lots of people do have faith in him. It has been noted that in the past, Mikki More has picked up speed and played competitively when needed but with so much pressure on him this year, there are a lot of questions as to whether he will be able to handle it or not.

Fans all over have expressed frustration and anger at the two players being out, and say that the Celtics won’t win because of it. However, anything can happen, and if people put just a little bit of faith in Mikki More, they might just win the game. Regardless of his knee injury, they will have Kevin Garnett supporting them from the sidelines.
