Correct Score Betting Introduction

Knowing what the best bets are in any given sport is essential if you are to make consistent profits from your sports bet activities. Because you are not only betting on the home win, away win or draw you are betting on the actual final score you get much better odds for this more specific bet.

If you made this wager 100 times you would show a profit, as this result will happen over the long term around once in seven times and you are being paid 9.00 for your bet. Nice work! It is very similar to poker where you are looking for the correct pot odds to call, if you don’t get the odds you fold. In football betting terms your fold would be not placing your bet.

The advantage you hold as a punter is that you do not need to bet on every single correct score bet on offer from the bookmaker. You choose your bets and you can also choose the wager. It is therefore sensible to only bet when you feel you have a small edge in doing so. A punter should note that normally the odds will not be in your favour. The odds compilers are experts in their fields and making correct score betting pay is not easy. But when you do get it right it can be a great feeling, and more importantly, a great return.
