Lottery Ticket Announcement During The NFL

If you’re into football, I am sure that you know about the state of Delaware passing a law that allowed gambling to be legal. The NFL has been really mad about this and is taking legal action against the state of Delaware. People are outraged that the NFL did this, because gambling and betting just goes hand in hand with the NFL.

With the NFL being so against gambling and suing the state of Delaware, everyone was surprised that the NFL allowed the Virginia Lottery to be promoted and the results read by Patrick on live television. It was even stated that you could win huge amounts with this lottery. The lottery could be won by getting a Redskins scratch-off ticket. It is very simple to win the lottery with this ticket. You can scratch off the ticket with a quarter or with anything in your pocket. It rubs off easy and even a child could actually scratch it off. So people who are against gambling are furious and confused by  the NFL’s position. The NFL could actually be losing fans over this lottery ticket, and some of those fans might be parents.

People have doubts about whether the league knew that these types of announcements and promotions were taking place. Other people are calling the league a liar and they don’t believe what the NFL is saying.

One of the things with the NFL is that they talk all of the time about why betting is bad and why you shouldn’t do it but now they are allowing it with the lottery tickets. Even those who are for gambling, and who know what the NFL is doing to the state of Delaware, also showed signs of shock as the lottery was being announced in the game. They feel like if the lottery takes place at the NFL game, they should be able to freely play and bet on the games, without it being illegal.

The NFL has a variety of ages in the crowd from young to old. It has angered some of the fans because they believe that the NFL is saying that playing some of the lottery is ok. Some of the children might even start asking about it because of the NFL’s slip-up during the game, and that could cause a lot of problems for parents at home.

Some people think that this was a plan for the NFL to try to win the lawsuit against Delaware. Others are not sure. The ones that think that NFL did this on purpose wonder if they were trying to create an uproar so that it wouldn’t look good for the state. Either way, people are getting tired of this fight and just wish that it would end soon so that people can get back to enjoying the game. They feel that with all of this going on it could possibly cause distraction with the NFL players, but the NFL players are focused on the game and not on the lottery tickets. Their main concern is keeping the fans by playing well, and they hope that nobody stops watching the NFL because of this.
