In this text I will give you my best bettingtips for Barcelona vs. Arsenal. These two teams played the Champions League final in 2006 where Arsenal had an early lead with 1 – 0. But after that Jens Lehman was sent off Barcelona could score twice and win the trophy. So I am pretty sure that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are looking for revenge in this quarter final. 

The first quarter final was a great football-show where Barcelona seemed to have secured a place in the semi-finals with their 0 – 2 lead. But some how Arsenal came back and scored twice which at least gave them a small hope to advance to the semi-finals. Even though Arsenal scored twice and fixed an equalizer Barcelona played the best football and had the best chances. So there is no doubt that Barcelona is big favourites to go trough to the next round. But the betting companies hold Barcelona as to big favourites according to the odds and that’s totally wrong according to me. So even though I think that Barcelona will win this game I’d never touch the odds at 1.35 on the home win here, there is absolutely no value on that odds. Instead I chose to bet on away win:

As I wrote above the first game ended 2 – 2. That doesn’t only mean that Barcelona goes trough if they win but even with a draw if the draw is 0 – 0 or 1 – 1. If the game ends 2 – 2 we will have overtime and if it, against all odds, ends 3 – 3 or a draw with more goals Arsenal will go trough. But I can’t see that happen. 

But the fact is that Arsenal is a good football team, everyone knows that, and they are fighting in the top of Premier League together with Chelsea and Manchester United. And I don’t really understand that the betting companies hold them as this big underdog. Of course Barcelona is one of the best teams in the world and they are a strong home side. But still Arsenal is Arsenal and with their quick football they can beat any team in the world if they wake up on the right side. 

A reason why NOT betting on Barcelona to 1.35 in odds is that they go trough with a draw as well. They might win this game but still the odds are to low to bet on. Arsenal on the other side will probably go for the win if the standing is 0 – 0 or 1 – 1 and their for I find 7.50 in odds on away win way more valuable. 

Next bet in this game is: Barcelona vs. Arsenal Over 2, 5 goals to 1.55 in odds 

Since Arsenal has to go forward to score goals if they want to go trough and Barcelona has their fast attacking play as well I think that the opportunity is big that this game ends with at least three goals. Both Barcelona and Arsenal are attacking teams and tries to go forward more often then think on the defence. If this would be the first game I would not bet on this bet to 1.55 in odds, but since the pre condition is as they are I think that this is a good bet as well. 

If Barcelona scores an early goal Arsenal is forced to go forward with the whole team to try to score twice, that leaves opportunities for counter attacks for the home side. If Arsenal scores the first goal Barcelona has to go to attack and so on. And as long as there is no goal in this game the pressure is on Arsenal which means that on of the two teams more or less has to attack all the time. And with these skilled players as there are in these two squads I can’t see it happen that they miss all the chances that they most probably will create. Even though Arsenal has some key players on their injury-list and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss this game for Barcelona there are lots of players that will step forward today. So my bettingtips is over 2, 5 goals in this game as well. 

The last bet that I place in this game is: Barcelona vs. Arsenal (Handicap 0:2) away win to 1.62 in odds 

This bet means that Arsenal can afford to loose with one goal and still I win on my bet. Barcelona goes trough with a draw and I don’t think that they win this game with more then one goal if they even win. So the odds 1.62 for this handicap bet feels really good according to me.
