The San Antonio Spurs Sign on Richard Jefferson

The San Antonio Spurs give hope to people all over. They have some of the best players on their team. Their coach, Greg Popovich, has been one of the best coaches the NBA has ever had. He has put together such a great team that they are really hard to beat. As for coaches, Phil Jackson is really the only one that can be compared to Greg Popovich.

Coach Greg Popovich still has what it takes with his team because they have two new people signing on with the team, which has a lot of people and fans excited and keyed up! One of those new people will be Richard Skywalker Jefferson. He will be helping to replace Manu Ginobli. Their team had suffered a little bit because they didn’t have a replacement for him, but now that isn’t a concern any longer. First of all, his height is perfect for the game. He is 6 ft. 7 in. The only thing that people are worried about with Richard Jefferson is that a few years ago, he did hurt his left wrist during a game when he was playing with the Nets. At the time that this happened, the Nets had already been really battling and this was the last thing that they needed so in some ways, he really hurt the team and in the process, almost destroyed his basketball career. He quickly recovered from everything, though, and started showing his talents once again as well as improvement. The team has faith that he will be doing his best with them and do not question his ability to bring the team to victory.

One player that remains in question this year is Dejuan Blair. Blair hurt his knees and they don’t know for sure if he can play or not. However, despite his hurt knee, during March Madness, he played with a lot of aggression and power. Dejuan Blair shocked everyone with his skilled performance. It was as if they were looking at a professional play and everyone in time forgot that he was still recovering so the Spurs might just let him stay because of that practically perfect performance.

The San Antonio Spurs will be giving the other teams a run for their money with the new player that they just signed on. Richard Jefferson is under a lot of pressure and he must show that he can perform adequately. If he doesn’t help out the team much, his career and name might be put in jeopardy. The Spurs really need Jefferson to help bring the team back. People’s faith is also renewed with Richard Jefferson signing on. They have already started seeing the differences in the crowds as well as the betting numbers. No one should worry too much though with the type of coach that they have. Their coach thought about this long and hard before he decided to let him play on their team. Will it be a good decision?  We will have to just wait and see…
