In these two texts, I will give you my best bettingtips from the two quarterfinals in the World cup of football that is played on Saturday.

I will start to give you all my best bettingtips in the game between Argentina vs Spain and then follow that up with my best tips from Paraguay vs Spain. I have choose to pick the odds from bwin bet on world cup and one of the reasons that I do that is because they have the biggest offer in different odds and betting opportunities of all the betting sites.

There are over 300 different betting opportunities at bwin, which can be compared with most of the sites that offers about 100 different bets per match.

Paraguay vs. Spain, odds: Paraguay to win, odds: 8.00, draw odds: 4.50, Spain to win, odds: 1.40

My bettingtips:

Paraguay vs. Spain – Spain to win @ 1.40

Paraguay has never been in a quarterfinal in the World cup’s history before so this is a very big game for them. But the fact is that Spain never have been further then a quarterfinal before either, which can be hard to think compared to the team that Spain has, and have got for a long time.

I think that the fact that Spain did so well in the European Championship two years ago (when they won the Gold medal) has helped them a lot in this World cup.

It started as it often do for Spain in World cup, they lost against Switzerland with 1 – 0. When that happened, I am pretty sure that most of the Spaniards thought something like “Not this time as well”. Because Spain was, the biggest favourites to win the World cup according to the odds before the championship started and that even thought they have never been in a semi-final before.

Nevertheless, after their loss against Switzerland they came back strongly and won against both Honduras and Chile (2 – 0 and 2 – 1) which took them trough to the second round. In the first match of the second round they played against their neighbours Portugal in a great game where Portugal seemed to bee the strongest team but where Spain made a substitution and that changed the game. Spain won with 1 – 0 after that David Villa (who else?) scored his fourth goal of the tournament.

Paraguay has been doing very well and has only let one goal in so far. They started with 1 – 1 against the former trophy holders Italy and after that they won against Slovakia with 2 – 0. In their last group match they played 0 – 0 against New Zeeland, but in that game they where not forced to win. In the second round they was headed against Japan and won after penalties (0 – 0 after ordinary time).

So none of these teams as impressed that much so far, but still one of the teams will go to the semi-finals. My feeling is that Spain is growing as they are going further and that they have good opportunities to win this game. I do not think that it will be an easy game but I still think that Spain is too good for Paraguay. Actually I would say that the odds on a Spanish win is a bit too low to bet on if it would had been a group-game or friendly, but now when it is a quarterfinal I have a feeling that the Spanish world-class-players will improve their game and win.

Paraguay vs. Spain, correct result: 0 – 1 @ 5.20 in odds

It’s not often that I place a bettingtips on correct result, but this time I have a strong feeling that this game can end 1 – 0 for Spain. I had the same feeling in their game against Portugal, but this time I am going to place a bet on that as well.

As I wrote above, these two teams have not been scoring too many goals forward. In addition, Paraguay has shown a strong defensively strength and I am pretty sure that they will try to hold up 0 – 0 as long as they can. Almost all of the Spanish players are playing in Spanish league for some of the top clubs, and if they come up to a normal standard, at least one of these players should be able to score eventually. Spain has David Villa, Fernando Torres, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas, Fernando Ilorente, Andres Iniesta and the question is for how long time Paraguay can stand up with their defensive line.

I choose to bet the result 0 – 1 to Spain since I think this will be a tight game in the beginning and that Spain will score in the second half. And when/if they do, they are one of the best nations in the world to pass the ball. If you choose to bet on 0 – 1 result for Spain and that is the standing late in the game I can even recommend you to keep an eye on the livebetting. It might being worth to hedge that bet if you have a high stake since the odds is over 5.00.

My best bettingtips from Argentina vs Germany follows in the next text

Argentina vs Germany! What a game! This is the quarterfinal in 2010 World cup but could just as well have been the final. These are two of the world’s two most successful countries in history and now they face then again. Just as they did in the last World Cup, 2006 and just as they did in the finals both 1990 and 1986. The reason why I am mentioning those finals is that Diego Maradona was a key-player both those years. Now he is the Argentinean manager and has been doing way over my expectations so far.

However, Germany has actually impressed more on me then Argentina, since Argentina where one of my potential winners before the World cup started. Germany came to this World cup without really being one of the favourites, which feels a bit strange now when they have proved so much. Germany is a strange nation when it comes to World cup. They are not often counted as one of the biggest favourites, but still they always makes it at least to the quarterfinals, often further then that. Now the two big giants face again in a world championship and I will try to give you my best game tips from this match:

Argentina vs. Germany, odds: Argentina to win, odds: 2.35, draw, odds: 3.35, Germany to win, odds: 2.85

My bettingtips:

Argentina vs. Germany, Argentina to win @ 2.35 in odds

This is a hard game to predict, but I have a feeling that Argentina is the better side. Those two teams actually played a friendly just before the world cup and that time Argentina won with 1 – 0. In addition, not only that, they where even way better then Germany in that game. But that was then and this is now. Because Germany has shown that, they are a totally different team then theu where in the qualification and the friendly’s. When Michael Ballack got injured most of us thought that Germany was going to get a tough championship. Instead all the youngsters has grown to world class players and are really good at the moment.

Both Mesut Özil, Sami Khedira and Thomas Muller where pretty unknown for most of the non-German people before the World cup started and now its them who are holding the team up. It was those three who outplayed England totally and now they are in a new quarterfinal.

But I think it will end here. Argentina has even better players in their squad with players like Leo Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Carlos Tevez on the attacking line. They have more players to bring on if it wont work with these, such as Diego Milito, Kun Aguerro and Martin Palermo.

Behind all these attackers, Argentina has De Maria, Juan Veron and Javier Mascherano. There are muscles in the Argentenean team as well, clearly.

This will be a great offensive battle to watch and I think that the South Americans will win with stand as winners. My feeling is that both teams will try to play the way they have played so far in the World cup, which means many players in the attacks. Argentina is the favourites both according to me and the odds and me that bwin offers. But I have leaned to never underestimate Germany, so I keep the stake low.

Argentina vs. Germany, over / under 2,5 goals – Odds: Over 2,5 goals 1.90 in odds – Under 2.5 goals 1.80 in odds

My bettingtips:

Argentina vs Germany, over 2,5 goals @ 1.90 in odds

This is a really good bet if you ask me. Both of these teams are offensive in their way of playing and they have also played like that. Both Argentina and Germany have their strongest players in the attacking line or as offensive midfielders which makes me believe that it defiantly can be more then three goals in this game.

I am a bit surprised that bwin holds under 2,5 goals as favourites in this game since both teams are playing as offensive as they are. I rather think that this game can end like 4 – 2 in any direction then 1 – 0. In the second rounds, first matches both Argentina and Germany showed that they keep attacking even though they have the lead, and that is really good for this bet. Germany took an early lead against England but they kept attacking. With fast counter attacks and fantastic passing skills, they made the English players look chocked. The game ended 4 – 1 to Germany and who could have expected five goals in that game?

Even Argentina showed in their game, against Mexico, that they kept attacking after their early lead. They had 1 – 0 but kept playing forward which lead to both 2 – 0 and 3 – 0. After that, Mexico scored a goal but Argentina’s win was never threatened.

Therefore, I have big hopes that it will be scored at least three goals in this game, maybe even more, and am happy to get as high odds as 1.90 on this bet from bwin sportsbetting odds. This time I choose to bet a higher stake since I find the bet so good.

Good luck with your World cup betting

This year’s biggest sports event, World Cup in football, is coming closer to the kick-off. I will share some of my best bettingtips until it starts and before World Cup, I will give you my best long-term bet. When the tournament begins, you will have more match betting from me.

In these two texts that I will share with you my predictions for group-winners for group C and D and, the betting value compared to the odds, odds value, and some other interesting bets for these groups.

I will start to present all the odds for the group-winners and then give you my analyze for how I think it will end and which team is most worth betting on. Keep in mind that a potential winner and a team worth betting on necessary do not have to be the same country. After that, I will share some other interesting “special-bets” that I find worth betting on. The odds are picked from bwin-world cup odds.

Group C – Winner

England, odds: 1.30

USA, odds: 5.00

Slovenia, odds: 12.00

Algeria, odds: 17.00

My bettingtips: England to win @ 1.30 in odds

England is always one of the pre favorites in World cup and European Championship when it comes to football but they rarely manage to go far. However, this time I believe that they can go far thanks to their talented and tactical highly skilled manager, Fabio Capello.

England’s biggest problem the last couple of times has been that they have not been able to play as a team when they play against better nations. Nevertheless, this time they have the strong leader that they have been missing and he has managed to set up a tactic that fits both Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. Besides these two players England, have many good players in their squad both on their defense and on offence.

USA has a strong team this year as well and did it good in the Confederations Cup last summer in South Africa (even called pre World cup). Even though I think that they can be the underdog that manages to go far in this tourney, I do not think that they will be able to end before England in this group.

Neither Slovenia nor Algeria should have the strength to compete with England (or USA) when it comes to a world cup game. So my tips is that England will win this group and that USA will take the second place and follow England trough to the knock-out stage.

Other interesting bettingtips from group C:

How many goals will Algeria score in the group?

Over 2,5 goals, odds: 2.10 / Under 2,5 goals, odds: 1.65

My bettingtips: Under 2,5 goals @ 1.65 in odds

According to me, Algeria is the last team in this group. They are probably happy only to get the opportunity to play in this world cup since they where close to not even reach here. Algeria was forced to play an extra game in the African qualification against Egypt on neutral ground after have ended on the same point and same goal difference after the last group game.

When I have followed Algeria in the Africa’s cup of nation, they often try to play with focus on their defense and I cannot see that they will change that tactic in World cup.

My feeling is that Algeria will find it hard to score one goal per game in average, which would mean that I win on my bettingtips. I find 1.65 in odds as a good bet and recommend that to you.

How many goals will USA score in the group?

Over 3,5 goals, odds: 1.80 / Under 3,5 goals, odds: 1.95

My bettingtips: Over 3,5 goals @ 1.80 in odds

As I wrote in my group-analyze above, I have a feeling that USA can go far in this tournament and I believe that they will play an offensive football. They have improved their game much the last couple of years and are able to disturb most of the nations in this World Cup.

Last year, when they played the Confederations Cup, USA scored a lot and went whole the way to the final. My theory is that USA will beat at least Algeria and that they have good chances against Slovakia as well. To win on my bet they have to score minimum four goals in the group stage and that is possible for sure. If they manage to score two goals in one game and then one each in the rest of the games they will reach the four goal mark which would mean that my tips is right. And I defiantly think that they are able to score four – five goals in this group.

USA have many players that play either in some of the best leagues in Europe or are key players in their own league, Major Soccer League (MSL). And their manager, Bob Bradley, likes offensive tactic. The betting company where I pick my odds from, bwin, pays 1.80 in odds on my bet and that is enough to invest in.

This year’s biggest sports event is coming close. I am of course talking about footballs world cup, which starts in 11th of June. I love world cup and it is something special for all football lovers. There are always lots of betting opportunities and many odds on each match. And it doesn’t matter which teams that are playing against each other, World cup is World cup!

My bettingtips on the matches / games will be presented during the tourney, but before it starts, I will give you my best bettingtips on some of the long time bets like winners, top goal scorer, grope winners, to go trough and so on.

In these two texts, I will present my best tips on Top Goal Scorers and the Winners of whole World Cup. It would be too much info to present the odds of all the teams and players for you, so if you are interested to see where all the nations and players stand in odds I recommend you to visit a betting site. I will give you the best odds from bwin football world cup odds and will present a couple of potential winners and the odds for these teams / players. These odds and tips are either what I believe on or even some underdogs that pays too much according to the odds. Normally I only recommend you to bet on odds value but World Cup of football is special and very often the pre favours go far. Therefore, in some cases, it is “okey” to bet on picks and not only stare blind on value (but of course, the odds play a part in that as well).

I have about five options each for the Gold winner and top goal scorer and will start with my winner of the tournament and give you short analysis on why I bet as I do.

Winning the World cup of football 2010:

Argentina 7.00

England 8.00

Holland 11.00

USA 81.00

Argentina, odds: 7.00

Argentina for sure has the best attacking players in the world. Lionel Messi is obvious in the starting line, but behind him we have players like Gonzalo Higuain, Carlos Tevez, Sergio “Kün” Aguerro, Diego Milito and Martin Palermo and so on. I am sure there is non other team where a player like Milito would not be obvious in a start-up. But in Argentina’s squad he is probably only no 5 which is totally insane.

Even behind their attackers, they have world-class players in the squad and Argentina would probably be the biggest favourite to win world cup if it wasn’t because the controversial coach Maradona. Many experts think that Maradona will be their fall but I do not actually agree. I am sure that they can go all the way and win the gold medal, not thanks to Maradona, but because they have a strong team. They are my biggest favourites to win and a good bettingtips since they pay as much as 7.00 in odds.

England, odds: 8.00

Finally, this can be England’s year. Their supporter always claim that they are the best team in the world but this time I think that they can win World cup even without being the best team in the world. Fabio Capello is a great manager and with his tactical skills, you do not have to have the best squad. His biggest problem is who to put between the posts. They do not have an obvious goalkeeper, but I still think that England can go far. England pays 8.00 in odds and its worth a shot this time (I have never bet on England to win a world cup before, and since I wasn’t born 1966 I have spared money on that).

Holland, odds: 11.00

The concept “Total Football” is Holland’s own brandmark. They always play a fantastic football to watch. However, their biggest problem has always been that when it comes to quarterfinals or semi finals they cannot beat the tactical skilled teams like Italy, Germany or France.

I always hope for Holland to win because I love football and I belive that if they can show that their way of play is the best way even other nations and clubs will try to play on the same way.

This year they only have two potential top-scorers in the squad (Van Persie and Huntelaar), but they have a strong midfield and defensive line as well. So Holland can defiantly go whole the way to the finals and win world cup if they only can switch their attacking play to a more tactical play later in the tournament, 11.00 in odds is interesting and I recommend them aswell as a bettingtips.

USA, odds: 81.00

I just have to give you one bettingtips on a bigger underdog aswell and USA is a team that can go really far in world cup. They have built their “soccer” nation for a long time now and it seems that they can compete with the best teams soon.

Last year they played very well in the confederations cup and reached the finals. In addition, for their advantage it looks like many Americans will follow their team in South Africa this year, something that has been rare for them in world cups.

When I see that USA pays as much as 81.00 in odds, I just have to put a small bet on them.

These are the recommendations for the top scorer for World Cup (odds from bwin world cup football betting):

Lionel Messi (ARG), odds: 8.00

Wayne Rooney (ENG), odds: 8.50

Gonzalo Higuain (ARG), odds: 17.00

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (NED), odds: 51.00

Humberto Suazo (CHI), odds: 101.00

As you can notice, the most of the players that I recommend here are from nations that I think will go far in the whole tournament as well. Because there is often a connection between teams going far and players who wins the scoring table. Here are my thoughts for my picks:

Lionel Messi (ARG), odds: 8.00

There are many warnings from experts that Argentina will be one of World cup’s biggest flops this year and most of them believe that their coach, Diego Maradona, is the reason for that. I can agree on the part that Maradona probably isn’t the best coach in my thoughts either but I still think that Argentina has a strong team and can go far with Maradona as coach.

Argentina has the best attacking players in the world and no matter how Maradona choose to play their attacking tactics there will be top class players that have to sit on the bench and follow the tourney from the side.

Lionel Messi will for sure play if he is not injured because he is the best player in the world right now. But it will be a tug of war which players will play together with him. Messi the type of player who can do the things that Maradona did for 24 years ago. He can dribble trough 5 – 6 players and score him self. If Maradona plays Messi at top, he is defiantly a player that will score many goals and 8.00 in odds for him to become top scorer is a god bet according to me.

Gonzalo Higuain (ARG), odds: 17.00

Gonzalo Higuain is another player from Argentina that I think has the opportunities to score a lot in this tourney if he gets the chance to play. In addition, it looks like he will be their second alternative together with Messi in this tourney.

The Real Madrid forward has played very well in the Spanish league and scored a lot as well.

If Messi plays behind the attacking line or he plays just behind the striker Gonzalo Higuain, there is a big chance that Higuain will become the top scorer of World Cup.

Wayne Rooney (ENG), odds: 8.50

Together with Argentina, England is one of the teams that I think can go far in this tournament. The Englishmen them self’s always think that they will win the world cup every forth year, but I think that they think too much of their chances every so often.

But this year I really think that England can go all the way to the Final and one of the biggest reasons for me to believe on them is their coach, Fabio Capello. Capello is one of the three – four best tactical coaches in the world according to me (another one is Inter Milan’s manager Jose Mourinho) and he has shown in both the world cup qualification and in their friendly games that he has something big coming up this summer.

And if England goes far in they tourney, I am pretty sure that Wayne Rooney will score a lot. He has taken a big responsibility in Manchester United this year, after that Christiano Ronaldo left, and shown that he is a great goal scorer as well.

He will carry whole England on his shoulder and I am sure that he, despite his young age, will do that more then good.

Rooney pays 8.50 in odds and is a potential winner, a god bet according to me aswell.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (NED), odds: 51.00

I often believe in Holland to go far and they often do. Holland often plays the most attractive football and they have great supporters following their orange heroes. However, their biggest problem so far has been when it comes to tight and tough games in the knock out stage. It always feels like their game from the group stage collapses and it suddenly stops there.

However, Holland is a team that scores a lot offensive. This year they do not have a given striker in the team besides Van Persie and that is why I think that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will fill that hole.

It surprises me that Huntelaar pays as much as 51.00 in odds and I defiantly hold him as an underdog that can explode in this tourney after a bad season with Milan.

A good bettingtips according to the odds and it at least worth a small bet.

Humberto Suazo (CHI), odds: 101.00

Suazo is most likely the player who is most unknown of the five representatives that I bet on as top scorer of world cup. But his nation, Chile, can become a big surprise in this tourney and then Humberto Suazo is big scorer.

Chile plays one of the most positive football in South America at the moment and sometimes it almost feels like their manager prefer to play with a formation 4 – 2 – 4.

I know that it is a long shot that Suazo will go all the way and win the title as top scorer, but at the same time he pays over one hundred in odds and that is really interesting since his team plays such an offensive football. Why not bet a small bet on him aswell, it will not cost that much but the winnings will be very high.

/Good Luck with your world cup betting

With the domestic football seasons in England at an end apart from the FA Cup final today and the league pay-offs and almost coming to an end or at an end in most other European countries then all eyes are starting to turn to the World Cup in South Africa and World Cup betting The two clear favourites are Spain and Brazil but I am not so sure. I have seen far too many World Cups to know that huge favourites often do not perform.

My first ever World Cup was Argentina in 1978 and the reigning world champions West Germany along with Brazil were clear favourites in that tournament and neither of them reached the final. In fact Brazil were even bigger favourites in 1982 along with holders Argentina with Maradona in his prime and both countries failed to get past the second stage.

Brazil were firm favourites in 1998 after winning it in 1994 but they at least did reach the final despite never playing to their potential in that final and losing 3-0 to France. But in recent times, it is hard to see a more dramatic case of a huge favourite biting the dust than in 2002 when France went into that tournament as reigning World and European Champions. Not only did they not win the tournament or even reach the semi-finals but they were eliminated in the World Cup group stages finishing bottom of the group without even scoring a single goal.

Brazil were firm favourites again in 2006 as defending champions but lost to the French along the way. So the lessons from history then are clear and that favourites don’t really stand that much more of a chance than the rest of the field combined. This is a serious factor because if you blindly believe that a nation like Spain will automatically win the World Cup just because they are a great side then you are failing to take into account not only the chaotic nature of sporting events but also the other really great sides in the tournament as well.

Teams like Argentina, Italy, France, Holland, Germany, Portugal, England to name just a few. In the latter stages of any cup competition then luck will play a vital role. But this applies to the group stages as well. Take Germany for example, they will be firm favourites to progress from their group that includes Ghana, Australia and Serbia but yet every one of those teams is a potential banana skin for the Germans.

It would not fall beyond the realms of probability for the Germans to miss out on qualification. Serbia came top of their qualifying group that included France so that will be very difficult and Australia put in some fine performances in the last World Cup and now can clearly beat any side on their day. The fact is that there are a lot of nations who are dangerous and who can beat anyone on their day and there are three such teams in Germany’s group.

After both Chelsea and Manchester United had earlier than expected Champions League exits then both will be very eager to win the League. This will apply to Chelsea more so than Manchester United seeing as they haven’t won the league for three years. I always thought at the start of the season that Manchester United going for a record fourth title would be a bridge too far. But yet there they are with five games to go still being in with a serious shout at winning it.

The injury to Wayne Rooney will be a worry for them although the Reds have done well in games without him. It is difficult to see how it will all end up and one little slip could be costly. Chelsea have the 2pt advantage and are four goals better off in the goal difference department and miles better than Arsenal.

The fact that Arsenal are in this title race is massive kudos for Arsene Wenger. Who is to say that they will not win it and the football betting odds will fluctuate during the coming games. All three clubs have difficult games and when you add the pressure of the situation then points will be dropped. Chelsea are clearly in a better situation than Manchester United.

If Chelsea slip and draw a game that United win then they are level but if it happens the other way around and Chelsea’s lead extends to four points with four or fewer games to go then it will be curtains for United. Many people have been saying about how United’s experience will be important. You have to remember that the spine of this Chelsea team won the League in 2005 and 2006 so they are accustomed to pressure.

But Ancelotti is a proven winner and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do the league and cup double in his first season. I also think that his job is also on the line as a failure to win either the Champions League or the league will prove too much for owner Roman Abramovich. Winning the league after three years of being in United’s shadow will make Roman happy but I said last year that I would not be surprised to see Guus Hiddink back at that club at some stage.

Getting knocked out of the Champions League is a huge event in the season of all of the challengers although Arsenal are not in the category of clubs who were expected to win it unlike the other two. A lot will depend on how Manchester United react to losing against Bayern Munich.

When the draw came out for the last eight, I fully expected Manchester United to reach the final by beating Bayern and then the winner of the all French quarter-final. So it came as a shock to me and I still think that United are a better side than Bayern Munich. One thing is certain though, either Chelsea or United will now fall short in the season based on what was expected. If Chelsea win the league then Manchester United will only have the Carling Cup and if United win the league then Chelsea can only end up with the FA Cup at best…….if Arsenal win it then it will not make for a happy summer for them both.

I do not know why, but this weekend only three matches are played in Premier League on Saturday and five games is played on Sunday. Normally most of the matches are played on Saturday’s. But I don’t have any trouble with games playing on Sunday instead of Saturday’s and in this text I will give you my best bettingtips for the games that are played on Sunday since I find the odds on those matches a bit more interesting.

Here are all the matches and odds for these five games, the odds are picked from bwin-football-betting-tips:

Blackburn vs. Bolton, odds: home win 2.00 draw 3.30 away win 3.60

Aston Villa vs. Burnley, odds: home win 1.35 draw 4.50 away win 8.50

Fulham vs. Birmingham City, odds: home win 2.05 draw 3.25 away win 3.50

Manchester City vs. Liverpool FC, odds: home win 2.60 draw 3.20 away win 2.60

Wigan Athletic vs. Tottenham Hotspurs, odds: home win 3.55 draw 3.30 away win 2.00

I will start to give you my two best bettingtips for today’s matches and then analyse the rest of the games and try to sort out how I think it will end and where I think we have potential value bets.

Fulham vs. Birmingham City – bettingtips; Home win @ 2.05 in odds

Fulham has been in a shorter down period some matches ago, but after their win against Burnley with 3 – 0 I think that they are on their way up again. Birmingham on the other side had a brilliant form a couple of matches ago but has lost some games and doesn’t feel just as strong as some weeks ago.

Birmingham City had a strong row with matches without loss (I think they had thirteen games). However, as is often happens with teams less strong squads even Birmingham has come to a point where I think that they will have a tough period in front of them. For example Birmingham lost away against West Ham in their last league game (2 – 0) and only have one win in their last five games.

Fulham is, and have always been this season, a strong side home at Craven Cottage. They have taken points from most of the top teams here at Craven. After Birmingham have started to loose again Fulham is just behind Birmingham in the league table now. Birmingham stands on 9th place with 37 points and Fulham is on the 10th place with 34 points before this game. Since Fulham has better goal difference, they will pass Birmingham in the league table if they win today.

Compared to these two teams home / away stats it also feels like it is clear home advantage here. Fulham have won 8 of their 13 matches played at Craven Cottage while Birmingham only has four wins in twelve games away, six looses. Therefore, I think that they have big chances to win against Birmingham City as well. The odds on home win are 2.05 and I find that valuable to put a bet on.

Manchester City vs. Liverpool – bettingtips; Home win @ 2.60 in odds.

A big game just behind top three in the table and this is a vital game in the chase for the forth place in the league. As you all probably know the fourth place even means a ticket to the qualification round to Champions League for the coming year, and that means lots of money for the clubs.

I think that both of these clubs are aiming for the Champions League and almost need to go there to cover up all of the costs. Liverpool has been playing in Champions league for the last 6-7 years and cannot afford to not play in the biggest tourney for club teams.

Nevertheless, this year has been a tough one for Rafa Benitez and his Liverpool and even when they have won games, the play just does not seem satisfied. Manchester City on the other hand has a great record after the Italian manager Roberto Mancini arrived and they have even beaten both Manchester United (in carlings cup), Arsenal (4 – 2 in the league back in autumn) and Chelsea (2 – 1 in the league) this year.

In addition, I do not feel that Liverpool is close to these teams this year and find the odds on home win as a great bet. I think that Liverpool often is overvalued when it comes to betting and odds and this is a great example of that. I would say that about 2.30 would be normal odds on the home win if I decided the odds in this game, but now I am sitting on the other side of the table so I pick this as a bettingtips instead and recommend you to bet on Manchester City today.

In the rest of today’s matches, I think that Aston Villa will beat Burnley easy. Even though the odds seem a bit low I just cannot see them not winning in the battle of top four. Therefore, this is a good bet according to me as well. Burnley is one of the weaker teams in Premier League outside their home ground. Two odds that I feel interesting in this game are hcp (0-1) or halftime / fulltime 1 / 1.

When it comes to Wigan vs. Tottenham and Blackburn vs. Bolton, I find both this games hard to predict and neither of the odds are valuable to place a bet on.

Good Luck with your premier league betting

As I wrote above I have chosen to split my Champions League text into two bets each to have it orderly. I have given you my best bettingtips for the first two games in Champions League and now I will go on with the next two, both this matches is played on Wednesday the 17th of February.

Here are the odds for these two matches:

FC Bayern München vs. Fiorentina, odds: Bayern M win 1.60, draw 3.50, Fiorentina win 5.75

FC Porto vs. Arsenal, odds: Porto win 2.55, draw 3.30, Arsenal win 2.60

My best bettingtips:

FC Bayern München vs. Fiorentina, bettingtips: Home win @ 1.60

Actually 1.60 in odds is pretty low for a home win on München against Fiorentina normally. I would for example never bet on Bayern München to that odds in an ordinary group match, but when it comes to knock out matches the better side wins more often then normally.

So what I am trying to say is that when it comes to important matches like Champions League, and the better side is playing at home, it’s okay to revise the values a bit. And that’s just what I have done here. Because I really think that Bayern München has great chances to win home at Allianz Arena.

A bit like AC Milan, as I wrote before, B München also started this season pretty badly. They where behind in the league and was far behind in Champions League as well. Since Bordeaux from France where going very well and since B München lost against twice against them and only got one point against Juventus at home I could not see how they had any chances to go trough from group A. But Bordeaux kept winning against Juventus as well and that gave Bayern a last chance to go trough by winning away against Juventus, in Turin. And against the odds they managed to win with brutal 1 – 4 and took the runner up place.

I had Bayern München as one of my potential underdogs to win whole Champions League this season but never thought that after four matches. And an underdog that has been excluded, almost even by them selves, is always danger for the coming tourney.

Fiorentina did very well in the group stage but are normally way better home at Stadio Artemio Franchi compared to their away game. And after Christmas and New Year holidays Fiorentina has had a tough period and dropped in the league table. They are currently at the eleventh place in Serie A and that’s really disappointing.

I would be surprised if Fiorentina could turn this bad form to something good in this game and chose Bayern München as my first bettingtips here.

And my bet from the second game:

FC Porto vs. Arsenal, bettingtips: home win @ 2.55

A hard game to predict according to me, and the odds that bwin has set up says the same. Almost even odds at both ways and since I think that this is a tough game to predict the draw might had been the most logical bet. But I have a feeling that Porto will win this game thanks to their home advantage.

Arsenal has a really hard period coming in the league now and can’t rest any players. They have played against Manchester United home at Emirates and lost with 1 – 3. Now Chelsea is their next opponent and I think that they will loose that game as well. But it doesn’t end there, because Arsenal is going to play Liverpool soon in Premier League as well. So I think that this game comes worse then worse to Arsenal.

Since Arsenal still has a chance to involve themselves in the top of the table they can’t even rest players in these games. And all of their injuries make it even harder for manager Arsene Wenger. So if Arsenal would have an easier schedule in the league or if they would be more behind Chelsea in the top of the table I would probably bet on the draw @ 3.30 in odds. But the circumstance makes me want to bet on Porto here.

And you should not forget that FC Porto is a strong side home in Champions League. It’s never easy for opponents to come to Estadio Dragao and take a win. Chelsea took a win there, but Porto beat both Atletico Madrid from Spain and Apoel from Cyprus in their home ground. And with some key players half injured in Arsenal I think that Porto has great opportunities to win. Porto is going strong in the Portuguese league. The odds is 2.55 and I find that worth betting on, at least with a small stake.

All the odds that I presented are taken from bwin-football-betting.

Good Luck with your betting

Following on from part three then, what must be pointed out however is that when you want to make a bet then obviously you must have enough CLEARED funds in your account to make that bet. If you wish to back Arsenal at 2.4 for £200 then you must have £200 in your account to make that bet. You may say that this is rather obvious and you would be correct but what is not immediately obvious to many novice punters is that you cannot make a bet with money that you already have tied up with another bet.

Let me explain, let us say for example that you have just backed the 1.25 favourite in the 2.30 at Windsor and it has duly repaid you by romping to victory and your total win is £150 on that particular wager plus your stake back. But you had £122 left in your account after you made the bet on the favourite at Windsor. After seeing your horse win, the system takes several minutes to process the result and the money to go into your account.

Because of this, that now means that you cannot back anything with any more than the £122 that you currently have in your account. So if you want to back a mount in the imminent 2.35 at Southwell then your limit is £122 until your funds from the 2.30 at Windsor actually clear. It also means that you cannot LAY anything as well that would have a total liability of more than £122 until that money goes into your account.

Let me give you another example, let us say that you have exactly £1000 in your account and you think that England at 8-1 have little or no chance of winning the 2010 Football World Cup. The decimal online sports betting odds system that betting exchanges use would quote this as 9.0 meaning that you would return 9 x whatever your bet was.

So an 8-1 shot when you are BACKING your fancy would in fact be risking £100 to win £800 but you would collect £900 because of the fact that you would also be returning your original stake as well, meaning that you would be collecting 9 x whatever your bet was. But when you LAY a selection then you are in fact acting as the bookmaker so your total possible win is £100 if England do in fact fail to win the World Cup. But you have acted as bookmaker and have given odds of 9.0 (8-1) so if England do go on to lift the trophy then your loss will be £800 and not £100 as many new exchange punters think.

This means that as soon as you LAY England at 8-1 or 9.0 then you are tying up not £100 but £800 which means that you will only have £200 out of the £1000 that you originally had left inside your account as the prospect of you losing the bet is factored in by the system and your money will not be returned until England are eliminated from the competition and your total possible loss (£800) is returned plus your £100 winnings thus making your new balance £1100 (less commission) presuming of course that you have not placed any more action in the meantime.
